Hello! This week I truly felt fall beginning and summer leaving the air. Hay rides, pumpkin spice latte's, and Halloween parties are highly anticipated! I am not only excited for those fall favorites, but also the fashion! Fall is my favorite time to try out new looks. From a bold lip, to a grungy look, fall is the perfect time to experiment. The bold lip- This is the perfect look to cry if your'e someone who prefers a minimalist eye look. How to get this look: First, apply a lip pencil to the lips similar to the lipstick shade you will be using. Then, start at the center of the lips with a lip brush and begin brushing on your favorite deep lip shade. Concentrate the product towards the center of the lips and spread it towards the edges. Apply a clear or dark lip gloss to finish it off. Plaid! No matter how you wear it, plaid is definitely on trend this fall. You can pair a plaid shirt with just about anything. But plaid shirts have always been a staple for fall. But the plaid skirts, pants, shorts you name it have been showing up all over the market! Ove-sized cardigans Over-sized sweaters? Maybe, but you might want to try an over-sized cardigan this fall! Paired with structured tops and tees, this piece can change your look completely!
I hope you all have a great day and enjoy the fall weather! Love, Emily

Man. So have you guys ever had those moments in life where you are like wow I really like doing something but something else needs to be done first? We'll that is how my life has been this first month during school applying for colleges and what not! I really miss blogging:( so I thought why not so a homecoming post! I am going to show you some ideas of what I want to do and a dress that I ordered! I ordered a dress online which is always so scary!!! I got it from my favorite store Windsor :) So this is the dress! It is a two piece dress! I have never worn something like that before so it will definetly be different for me! I really like this idea for an updo. I do not want something super structured just something loose, if I do an updo! I might just do loose curls with a braid! Or straighten it? Wow so many choices! When I went shopping for a dress (with little success) the main trend I saw going on was peplum! Everywhere. The high low dresses were put onto the sale rack and put of sight! Another huge trend this year is the high neck line and the illusion neck line! As you can tell, the over the top bedazzled dresses are no longer in style. Which I think is for the best! Now sophisticated is sexy for the time being! I hope you all have a great homecoming! I will make sure I post pics of mine! Xoxo Emily It's that time again...back to school. I know, I am as reluctant as most of you are but c'mon who doesn't like school supply shopping? I go to a private school which means I wear a uniform, but that doesn't mean I don't buy myself back to school clothes! There are a couple must haves for the back to school season that everyone should check out! Vera Bradley backpacks come in all patterns and styles that you are able to purchase depending on what you want. This one shown here has room for a laptop but if you don't carry around one at school there is the Campus Backpack perfect for that! #2 Payless shoes Payless will ALWAYS be my favorite place to go for when it comes to a new pair of school shoes. Their styles are fashionable yet inexpensive! Their shoes are always comfortable and don't ever fail to disappoint! #3 High-waisted Jeans High waisted shorts were all the rave this past summer! Now high waisted jeans are on the market in the hottest cuts and prints! You can wear that crop too now for an extra season (with a cardigan on of course)! Are you ready for back to school yet? I know I'm not but hopefully I can start to check off some things on the to do list! Xoxo Em Hi loves! Today I went shopping with one of my good friends Anna, and was looking for some jeans. I hit gold with a high waisted pair from the Bethany Mota line! I have a TON of blouses I tuck into jeans so I thought they would The elephant blouse above is from Windsor! I just wanted to show how the jeans and the shirt could be worn! I love flannels tied around the waist for a casual laid back look! I have a love/hate relationship with mascara. I love it because it makes your lashes look amazing and it makes you look more put together. However, I hate it because there are so many choices and claims that I don't know what t pick. I decided to try out the Covergirl Bombshell Mascara. It has a double end wand labeled 1 and 2. The 1 side is supposed to volumize the lashes while side number 2 is supposed to add color in order to make the lashes seem fuller. Side #1 has a brush very similar to the regular Covergirl LashBlast, while side #2 is the average looking mascara brush. As you can see in this picture the mascara definetly lengthens the lashes. It does not thicken them as well as maybelline the falsies but they are still defined! This is not the waterproof version and will smudge if worn in water. Overall I still would go back to the falsies or my cover girl clump crusher but it's still a great mascara! Love Em:) Hey loves! Personally, I love to wear winged liner! Eyeshadow, no eyeshadow, it's still beautiful and classy. It's my go-to when I am in a rush but still want to look put together. But you would be surprised to know how different you could make a winged eyeliner look! Here are just some examples: Some of my favorite products for doing a winged liner are pen liquid eyeliners! They are easy to control and make it easy to get close to the lash line. My favorites are the one by revlon colorstay and the maybelline master drama eyeliner pen! I hope you enjoyed this! Bye loves! Hello everyone sorry I haven't posted in a couple of days! I thought since the weather is so beautiful outside today i would just reflect on my week and you could tell me about yours!
This week I went to Cedar Point and we had the best weather! Going into my senior year of high school I have realized who my true friends are and am happy to say I brought two amazing people with me! Amusement park makeup= none for me because it all ends up getting messed up on the rides! I have also been working a ton! I need money for college and feel like I should start saving now. I love my coworkers and am happy they have accepted me into the workplace! That's my little reflection for the day! Feel free to leave yours! xoxo Emily Hello! This post is actually a request from my best friend Katie! She has been going on many interviews lately but was not sure how to dress. The reason why wearing the proper attire to an interview is important is because it is the first thing your future employer notices about you. It shows them if you are professional and if you are serious about the position. Now some people ask, what if it's just a job at the mall or at a fast food restaurant? The way you dress is still important.
-At a retail job you will still want to dress professionally but add a pop of color or a stylish accessory to show you fit into the retail business. -For most other jobs you want to dress in neutral colors, think black, grey, beige. Keep your hair back so it does not get in the way during the interview. Make sure your top is not low cut and if you are wearing a pencil skirt, that it is no more than 3 inches above the knee. I put together some outfit ideas for any interview that you have coming up! It's the middle of the summer and it's the time when everyone starts to go on vacation. Usually they go somewhere where there is a beach or a pool of some sort. Then comes of the anxiety of probably every woman out there of wearing a bikini! As I have started to care less about other peoples opinions I have worried less and less and just tore off my cover up! Yet some people have a lot of trouble of gathering up the confidence to do that. I am going to give you my tips to being confident in a bikini and also some styles of swimsuits to make you feel even more confident! #1 Just take it off Yes tear off the cover up as quickly as possible before you have time to judge yourself! #2 Wear a suit that flatters your body type (Stay tuned to the end of this post) #3 Stay focused on your strong point and stop worrying about your flaws! No one sees them more than you! #4 Do a couple push ups or crunches before hitting the beach. It'll make you feel more confident and will get your heart pumping! #5 Stand tall! Small busted? Try a bandeu bikini top or a top with ruffles! Heavy busted? Try a halter top! Have a flat butt like me? Try a bottom with ruffles and with a pattern that can bring more attention to your bottoms! Curvy hips? Try a more retro style with a high waisted bottom! I take no credit for these photos and all were found under various websites on google.
Contouring and highlighting are a life-saver for many of us with round faces. It makes our faces look more Megan-Fox like by chiseling our faces without the plastic surgery. However when we over-do it then it is doing us a disservice. Start with a light hand going across your cheekbones and sweeping up across the temples. Always use a light hand and start out with minimal product. Then you can add as needed. |
